Descripción

It all started at the end of 1919 when Luciano Leiva divided his land into plots of hundreds of hectares. This allowed Eugenio Lagier to realize his project of creating a colony. He then made contact with the Swiss government to attract settlers, boasting the fertility of these lands.

At the beginning, they are Swiss romandi and then Swiss Germans. Many of them are young graduates from the Federal Polytechnic School of Zurich (EPFZ) who have good knowledge of agronomy. Graie to these create plantations of mate of 100 to 200 hectares each with an excellent yield from the beginning.

In 1930, the Santo Pipo cooperative was created and in 1960 the brand of yerba Piporé was established to sell the yerba produced by the cooperative instead of selling it to other brands.

This yerba Piporé tradicional is an excellent yerba composed of leaves and stems.
